Monte-Carlo and Sweden in a VW Polo R5 and new co-driver

19. Dec. 2018

Ole Christian Veiby continues his successful driving in the WRC2, and will start his 2019 campaign with two events in a Volkswagen Polo R5, run by Baumschlager. The 22 year-old Norwegian will be joined by the very experienced Swede Jonas Andersson in the co-driver’s seat.

Ole Christian Veiby says:

– I am very happy to announce that I will be competing in the WRC2 at Rallye Monte-Carlo and Rally Sweden in a Volkswagen Polo R5. From what we saw at Rally Spain, the car is both fast and strong and I can’t wait to compete with it!

– I’m also looking forward to Jonas Andersson joining me in the co-driver’s seat! He comes with tons of experience, and we actually competed together at Rallye Monte-Carlo in 2016 in the R3 class, and won!

– A big thank you to Stig Rune Skjærmoen who jumped in the car with me in 2016, and have successfully helped me to many good results after, including my first WRC2 victory back in Poland in 2017. I wish him all the best when he now joins Johan Kristoffersson in his rally-campaign.

Even Management are still in the process of finalizing the rest of the WRC2 season for Ole Christian.
